Minnie McGee Hoilman, 88, of Little Switzerland, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Born in Mitchell County she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Ester Boyd McGee. She was a member of the Black Mountain Baptist Church and worked for 29 years at Hampshire Hosiery. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy William Hoilman; four brothers, Clay, Clarence, Fred and Ted McGee; and three sisters, Pearl Queen, Missouri Hollifield and Marie Hollifield.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Parsley of the home and JoAnn Whitson and husband, J.M., of Johnson City, Tenn.; a sister, Elva McGee of Greensboro, N.C.; and two sisters-in-law, Mildred McGee of Mt. Holly, N.C. and Helen McGee of Morganton, N.C.. She is also survived by three granddaughters, Terri Williams and husband, Colen, Tina Toth and husband, Keith, and Toni Crowder and husband, Mark; one grandson, Marvin Whitson; six great-grandchildren, Shana, Adam, Ashley, Andrew, Alyssa and Taylor; and one great-great-grandchild, Isaiah.

Funeral service for Mrs. Hoilman will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Thursday March 31, 2011 in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Hollifield officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday April 1, 2011 in the Boyd Cemetery.
