John Pleasants, II is actually the fourth to be given this name from his line in England. It's origin comes from John Pleasants, I (1588-1640); then John, II (1618-death unk), then John, III (1644-1698) aka John, I in America and aka John the Immigrant. This has confused many. This is an attempt to clear up that confusion.

John Pleasants, II (aka IV, from his line in England) married Dorothy Carey, dau. of Thomas and Ann (Milner) Carey.
