Hugh Paul was born to Irish parents, John Savage(1839-1892) of Taunagh, County Sligo, Ireland and Mary McIntyre(1844-1893).
He was the youngest of ten children: Mary #1, Anna, Patrick, Bridget, who were born in Bothwell, Scotland, Thomas, Owen, John J., Catharine and Hugh Paul and Mary #2 were all born in Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio after his parents emmigrated to the U.S in 1872.
Hugh then moved to Rio Grande, Colorado where he married Ruby H. Abbott(1888-1945) in Del Norte, Rio Grande, Colo. on 29 Jun 1908. They would have only one child Hugh Abbott Savage(1911-1982 who was born in Monte Vista, Rio Grande, Colorado.
Ruby died in 1945 in Colorado, Hugh would relocate to Kansas City, Missouri in 1946 following their son who had moved there about 10 years earlier.
Hugh Paul was buried on April 23, 1957 and is laid to rest along side his son Hugh Abbott Savage(1911-1982) and his wife Delores Collins Savage(1910-1984) in the same Plot in Memorial Park Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri. (816) 523-1234
