Michael Savage, aged 75 years, a resident of Lexington for many years, died late Monday afternoon at his home at 536 West Third Street.
Mr. Savage was born in County Terry(sic), Ireland. While still a boy he emigrated to Canada to the town of Hamilton.
There he resided until after his marriage to Miss Mary Coffee, who survives him.
In 1859 he moved to Lexington and made his home in this city until his death, always contributing his share to the advancement of the city of his adoption.
He leaves, besides his wife, three sons and three daughters: Michael, Jr., James, William, Mrs. John Minor, Mrs. Phil Minor and Miss Mollie Savage, and a host of friends.
Messers. Michael and James Savage are Proprietors of a grocery on Smith Street.
The funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Church Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock and the interment will follow in the family lot in the Catholic Cemetery.

Michael Savage aged seventy-five years died Monday at his residence 636 West Third Street Besides his wife who was Miss Mary Coffee three sons and three daughters survive him. They are as follows: Michael Jr., James, and William; Mrs. John Minor, Mrs. Philip Minor, and Miss Mollie Savage.
The funeral services will be held at St Paul’s church Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock and the interment will follow in the family lot in the Catholic Cemetery.
