Mr and Mrs. Adams lived on their homestead for a year where their first daughter Edna was born. It was located north quarter of what is now the Bummgartner place.
She was baptized in Omaha in the Baptist faith in her early youth, and later joined the Park Conregational church after her marriage.
She was a kind and loving mother and a good neighbor. She had been a invalid for several years but gentle and uncomplaining through all her suffering and living a sweet Christian life, leaving to her bereft children this comforting thought. "The power of religion is able and sustain in all relations of life." Her example as a mother will ever be remembered and cherished by her children, whose influence will ever follow them.
She has left her children, but has entered unto the rest that remainth for those who love Him. After a lingering illness she was released from her suffering and went to meet her Savior about 7 p.m. Monday Oct. 15, 1951.
She leaves to mourn her passing 4 daughters and 2 sons, Mrs. Otto (Bertha) Wunschel Wall Lake, IA; Mrs. Rudy (Ruth) Wunschel Early Ia; Miss Lillian and Mary Adams Elgin, Robert H. of Arcadia, Ind.; and Lewis F. of Elgin.
