Rhoda Davis was born on March 26, 1808, in Harrison, West Virginia, her father, Reverend Peter Brockaw Davis, was 24, and her mother, Sarah "Sally" Fitz [Randolph] Davis, was 21. She married Amaziah Bee on May 15, 1826, in her hometown. They had eight children in 27 years. She died on September 10, 1901, in New Milton, West Virginia, at the impressive age of 93, and was buried there.
