Son of Joseph Prosser and Eliza Kinner Fulton co, Illinois. Grandson of Daniel Prosser and Margaret Mickey, b. 1763 (probably in Pennsylvania) and died 7 August 1829 in Richland County, Ohio.

Obituary of Abraham Prosser found in The Knoxville Journal - September 11, 1897

On Wednesday, September 1, 1897, after a long and painful illness, Abraham Prosser passed peacefully out of this life into the great beyond, leaving the evidence that all was well. He was ready and anxious to go.

He was about 75 years of age, had resided here many years, was a member of the M. E. Church and proprietor of the Cottage Home. His loyalty to the church, his unselfishness in looking after the comforts of others and in providing for his own household, will not be forgotten by his friends and family. He leaves a wife and seven children -- Mrs. Sutton [Soetens]; Mrs. Bramias[Brandfas]; Mrs. Sabin; and Miss Cora, being at his bedside when the summons came. Mrs. Elliot, Charles and John were absent.
