Funeral service for Austin Ray Crittenden, 45, a resident of Proctor, were held Saturday at Proctor Baptist Church with Reb. Olif Puckett officiating. Burial was in Proctor Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home. He was born on February 16, 1934 in Westville to Walter and Gladys (Kindle) Crittenden and died on July 12, 1979 at City Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou; his children, Austin Ray Crittenden, Jr. and Cherly Marie Crittenden, both of the home; his mother, Gladys Crittenden of Proctor; his brothers, Raymond Crittenden, Jay Crittenden, and Don Crittenden, all of Westville, Calvin Crittenden of Stilwell, and Bob Crittenden of Spencer, Tennessee; and his sisters, Ruby Cary of Blackwell, Opal Redmond of Coweta, and Roxie Green and Sue Patton, both of Westville.
