Mrs. Martha Fray, one of the county's oldest and most highly respected ladies, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jas. Ferguson, near Roanoke, on Monday, March 27, 1911, of general debility, aged 91 years. She is survived by six sons and three daughters, viz: Wm. C., Columbus, Oscar S., R. Granville, John and Wert Fray and Mrs. Jas. Ferguson, Mrs. Jas. Kilpatrick and Mrs. Geo. Mayo. Funeral services were held Tuesday by Rev. W. E. Mitchell, of the Presbyterian church, of which deceased had long been a member, and interment made in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
