CHIDESTER RITES SET FRIDAY

Mrs. Dewey (Blanche) Chidester, 70, of Rt. 3, Albia, died Monday, April 7, at Collins Memorial Hospital in Knoxville.

The funeral is scheduled this Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Albia, with Rev. Laverne Leigh officiating. Burial will be in Oak Vew Cemetery.

Mrs. Chidester was born July 5, 1904, in Monroe Coounty, the daughter of David A. and Maude Bellas Fallon. She married Dewey Chidester on Aug. 19, 1922. He survives.

She lived most of her life in Monroe County, and was a member of the First Christian Church in Albia.

Survivors, beside her husband, include three sons, Donald Chidester of Knoxville, and Edward and Robert Chidester, both of Albia; two daughters, Mary Guffey and Patricia Reed, both of Albia; one brother, Lawrence Fallon of Albia; one sister, Mabel Marshall of Des Moines; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were by Geyer Funeral Home in Albia.
