Funeral services for Henry F. Schleunes, 75, of Rt. 2 Kiel, who died Thursday at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan, will be at Bethel UCC, Town of Herman. The Rev. Carl Fried will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Schleunes was born April 21, 1892, in the town of Schleswig, son of the late August and Anna Borngesser Schleunes. On April 24, 1915, he married Adelia Eickoff in the Town of Schleswig and the couple located on the Schleunes home farm, living there until retirement in 1956. The couple marked its golden wedding anniversary in 1965. He was a former church elder and district school clerk.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Arline) Bub of Rt. 3, Plymouth, and Mrs. Dennis (Ellen) Klopack of Mayville; two sons, Merlin of Rt. 2, Kiel and Karl of Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Arthur Rosenthal, of Rt. 1 Plymouth; 13 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
