Mrs. Anna Schleunes, 78, widow of August Schleunes a long-time resident of Millhome, died Thursday at St. Nicholas hospital in Sheboygan. She had been in ill health for some time. Funeral services will be held Sunday from St. Johns Evangelical and Reformed church in Schwartzwald with the Rev. William Schultze officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Schleunes, nee Anna Borgesser, was born in the town of Rhine, Sheboygan County, Oct. 9, 1865, the daughter of the late Andrew and Louise Borngesser. She was married Oct. 27, 1889 and for many years after their marriage the couple operated a farm near there. Mr. Schleunes died in 1926 and the farm is now operated by a son, Henry.
Survivors are one son, Henry, on the homestead; one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Rosenthal, town of Rhine; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Neumann and Miss Emma Borngesser of Ada; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
