In 1830 the only Cornelius Skinner in Ohio is in Perry County, Ohio. He is also there in 1840. In 1850, Cornelius is living in Plain Township, Wood County with his wife, Belinda DeBolt, who is about twenty years his junior and children: Cyrus, George, Darius, Rezin, and Ruel. He was the son of John and Rebecca Todd Skinner of New Jersey. Cornelius married Belinda on 1 May 1828.
