Rites for Mrs. Ida E. Stueve, age 80
Mrs. Ida E. Stueve of the New Wells community died unexpectedly Monday morning, July 22, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nebel of Cape Girardeau Route 1. She was 80 years old.
Mrs. Stueve, the former Miss Ida Weber, was born Feb. 3, 1894, at Wittenberg.
On April 28, 1914, she married Ernst A. Stueve, who preceded her in death on March 22, 1966. They resided in the New Wells area and Mrs. Stueve became a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Wells.
Those surviving are: son, Leo Stueve, Neosho; daughters, Mrs. Roland Gerler, Gorham, Ill., and Mrs. Nebel; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. One son, Ervin Stueve, preceded her in death in 1971.
The body was at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, where a prayer service was held Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock.
At 12:30 Wednesday afternoon, the body was taken to Immanuel LutheranChurch in New Wells, for service at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Jacob Esslinger, pastor, officiated, and burial was in the church cemetery.
