Leo H. Stueve, 63, of 809 Hawthorne Drive, died at 7:10 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, after an illness of six months.
Mr. Stueve was born May 8, 1920, in Altenberg and moved to Neosho in 1964 from Colton, Calif. He purchased Les Metcalf's business on North College in 1965 and operated it as
Stueve's Furniture until selling and retiring in 1980.
He was a veteran of World War II and a member of St. Canera's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Irene; one sister, Cordia E. Nebel, Cape Girardeau.
Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Canera's Catholic Church with Father James Unterreiner officiating. Burial, under direction of Clark Funeral Home, will be in Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be George Garrett, Joe Clanton, Jim McBee, Doc Edwards, Frank House and
Dek Ahrens.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hugh Aubrey, Martin Trim, Gene Carter, Olyn Osborne, Virgil
McGarrah, Bill Stufflebeam, Clyde Condon, Howard Case, Fred Casada, Orval Norris and
Glen Young.
Scripture service and visitation will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
