Mrs. Glynne Serson, 101, died March 25 in Macon. The Ottawa, Canada, native lived in Statesboro from 1944 to 1997 when she moved to Macon. She was the widow of the Rev. T. Earl Serson. She was a graduate of Ontario Teacher's College and Northern Baptist Seminary. She was a member of Statesboro First Baptist Church, taught in the College Sunday School Department 25 years, served on the Steering Committee for the Centennial Celebration, was co-chairman to formulate the First Baptist Mission House for missionaries on furlough and was a member of the Women's Mission Union. She was teacher for the Night Circle Bible Study Class for 10 years and Mission Study chairman in the Ogeechee River Baptist Association for 11 years. She wrote and directed the pageant to observe the celebration of 50 years of WMU work in the Ogeechee River Baptist Association. She was a charter member of the Statesboro bloodmobile program of the American Red Cross, Statesboro Women's Club and Friends of the Library.
SURVIVORS: a sister, Mrs. George H. Lemkee of Pembroke , Ontario; four grandchildren, Earl Serson Brannen of Marietta, Morgan Lee Brannen II of Macon, Moira G. Moran of Beaufort and Debra B. Quintero of Macon; and nine great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. today at Statesboro First Baptist Church, burial in Eastside Cemetery.
