Angela was born September 8, 1914, in Newark Valley, Nevada to Angelo and Antonia DeBernardi. In 1928, she left Newark Valley and moved to Eureka, Nevada where she met and married Joseph Borgna (Joe). They married at the Borgna home on June 30, 1936. They had two children while living in Eureka, a daughter, Betty Ann, who died in infancy, and Robert Joseph.
In 1958 they purchased the Oasis, a hotel, restaurant, bar, and service station in Wells, Nevada. In 1984, after 17 years of owning and operating the Oasis, they moved to Boise, Idaho where they enjoyed their retirement years. Angela was a proud, dedicated business woman, mother, and grandmother who spent her life caring for her family.
Angela was preceded in death by Joe, her husband; Betty Ann, her daughter; her parents; and all three of her siblings, Marie Hubler, Edward DeBernardi, and Rose Moyle Lloyd.
She is survived by her son, Robert Borgna (Claudia); her grandchildren, Brienne (Ronald Sandow), Mario Borgna (Megan) and Britni Borgna; and her great-grandchild, Sophia Sandow.
Angela and her family would like to thank the devoted and caring staff of Life Care Center of Valley View.
The Vigil will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 29 at the Boise Chapel of Summers Funeral Home, 1205 W. Bannock Street. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 30 at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 7960 Northview, Boise, Idaho. Burial will follow at Cloverdale Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Summers Funeral Home, Boise Chapel.
