Funeral services for Ms. Courtney Butler, age 29, of Grayson, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 28, 2011, from the sanctuary of Grayson Baptist Church with Bro. Jay Morgan officiating. Interment will follow on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK.

Visitation will be Sunday evening, March 27, 2011, at Grayson Baptist Church from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Courtney was born on January 14, 1982, in Oklahoma City, OK, and passed away peacefully on March 25, 2011, and went to be with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.

Courtney graduated as valedictorian and homecoming queen from Caldwell Parish High School. She was also a 2000 Composite Academic All-State Basketball Player. She was an outstanding athletic training student at Louisiana College and was due to graduate with honors in 2004.

Courtney's hobbies were numerous. She enjoyed wakeboarding, golf, basketball and spending vacation at the beach.

She was the baby of all her cousins, family get-togethers were important to Courtney. She will be missed by all!

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Burl and Joan Holmes.

Survivors include her parents: Jerry and Beth Butler of Grayson, sister: Blair Moser and husband, Dale of Rhome, TX, paternal grandparents: Bucky and Genae Butler of Grayson, two aunts: Susan Steffey and husband, Gene of Arlington, TX, and Ann Brown and husband, Mike of Oklahoma City, OK, uncle: Jim Holmes and wife, Margaret of Edmond, OK, two special friends: Jan Carr and Ashley Page and numerous cousins.

In lieu of flowers, any memorials may be made to the Courtney Butler Scholarship at Louisiana College, attn: Tim Johnson, Department of Institutional Advancement, Louisiana College, 1140 College Dr. Box 587, Pineville, LA 71359.
