JimmieRuth was born on October 21, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois. She was the second child of four children born to Levi and Naomi. (both parents preceded her in death.)
JimmieRuth graduated from Englewood High School in 1962. She later attended Wilson Junior College where she received her degree in nursing. Her passion and life-long career was Nursing.
JimmieRuth known as Miss Froof by her eldest niece, Janie - later called Tee or J. R. by a host of other family members and friends.
JimmieRuth became a member of Christian Youth M.B. Church in the early eighties under the leadership of the late Rev. Eugene Cherry, where, Rev. Darcell Morris now effectively serves as Pastor.
JimmieRuth served as: President of the Nurse's Board, President of the Usher Board, the Director of Vacation Bible School, and the primary sunday school teacher.
Rev. Morris and J.R. traveled on several outings. They shared lots of laughter, and always enjoyed each other's company. She was known for baking 7up pound cakes for any occasion. J. R. was strong, bossy, and fussy, and yet loved to shop and care for everybody.
On March 28, 2009, at 2:00 AM JimmieRuth departed this life to live a better life of peace. She leaves to cherish her memory; a sister, Minister Elaine Arrington; a brother Rudy Arrington(Pat);and a host of other relatives and friends.
