Arwood Glenn Downing also known as Donald Glenn Donally was born to Minnie Leona Downing in Westville, Illinois. He and his mother came to Michigan and lived in Ionia where he grow up and att. school and join to Nation Guard at the age of 16. On July 29, 1933, Arwood Glenn Downing married Marion Ruby Boroff. To this union was born a son Glenn Charles Downing on 13 Feb. 1935. This marriage ended in a Divorce in 1937.
Arwood, moved to Grand Rapids and also took up the name of Donald Glenn Donally and married on Dec 07, 1938, Bernice Marie Maynard. Together they had one son Donald Edwin Donally on Sep 12, 1939. Berneice, died a short 9 months later. He and his son Donald moved back to Ionia, Michigan.
In Nov of 1944 he then married Bernice Jenkins and they had two children a son Keith and a daughter Glenna. In the early 60's the family moved to Lansing where Don, now worked for GM. They lived in Delta Township. He died in Nov. of 1987.
