Blake Anthony "T.J." Bailey, 28, of Abingdon, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at his home.

Born in Tazewell County, he was the son of Marsha Lee Mullins Bailey, of Abingdon.

He was a resident of Abingdon for many years, was a 2000 graduate of Clintwood High School and was a retail customer service representative.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Judge W. Williams; paternal grandfather, Virgil Bailey; and one aunt, Lula Belle Miller.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Peyton Blake Pope of Coeburn; step-father, Benjamin Fleming of Abingdon; maternal grandmother, Beulah Mullins of Breaks; paternal grandmother, Ernestine Bailey of Breaks; four aunts, Ella Swiney of Breaks, Didema McPeek of Columbus, OH, Ruby Mullins and Catherine Mullins, both of Morehead, KY; four uncles, Blake Mullins of Allen Park, MI, Tony Mullins of Powhatan, Timothy Mullins and Patrick Mullins, both of Richmond; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, March 19 at Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carl Dorton officiating. Graveside services were held Sunday, March 20 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Abingdon.
Active pallbearers were Joshua Swiney, Jason Mullins, Randy Swiney, Robert Owens, Jarett Mullins, Jimmy Wayne Deel, Randy Swiney Sr. and Matt Lawson.
