Almon Leach and Amelia D. Argerbright were married on June 5, 1859, in Kosciusko Co., IN. Following his untimely death while serving in the Civil War, his widow married Robert S. Reed on Sept. 27, 1866, in Indiana.

Enlisted as a Private on 12 December 1861 in Company I, 47th Infantry Regiment Indiana. Died Company I, 47th Infantry Regiment Indiana at New Madrid, Missouri. He was from Liberty Mills, Wabash County, Indiana.

1850: Residing Chester Twp., Wabash County, IN; Leach, William, 28, born NY; Eliza, 19; Almon, 15; and Joseph, 13.
