from the Republican for April 3, 1924:

Very Sad Death

Mrs. Nitis Hall of Lizton, died, Tuesday. The funeral is Friday morning at 10 with burial in the Lizton K. of P. cemetery. Mrs. Hall's death is tragic in its sadness. Since the birth of a child some weeks ago, she made a brave fight and won in that contest. But in some manner, she contracted diptheria which is prevalent in the Lizton community, and her weakened system was unable to cope with it. Mrs. Hall was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Kennedy. Mr. Hall is one of the well known teachers of the county.
