Funeral services for Elder W. Henry Waters, 60, who died at his home in Statesboro last Thursday night after a long illness, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church by Elder V. F. Agan. Burial was in Eastside Cemetery.

Elder Waters was one of the leading Primitive Baptist ministers in Georgia. Some of the churches he has served include: Upper Black Creek, Lake, Brooklet, Jesup, Screven and Claxton. He became inactive about a year ago because of ill health. He was a veteran of World War I and was the son of the late Walburg and Ida Griner Waters, pioneer citizens of Bulloch County.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Ruby E. Waters; a daughter, Mrs. James Aldred, Statesboro; a sister, Mrs. C. A. Burkhalter, Tampa, Fla., and two grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers were Primitive Baptist ministers. The body was taken to the church an hour before time for the services. Smith-Tillman Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
