WILBUR McCOY DIES SUDDENLY AT HOME-Wilbur Ben McCoy, age 83, of Beaverton (Gladwin County), Michigan, died suddenly on Wednesday, April 2, while working in the yard of his home. He was a retired employee of the Dow Chemical Company of Midland, Michigan.
Mr. McCoy was born in Clarion County, Pennsylvania, on February 16, 1875. He was married to Mrs. Lula Landon on February 27, 1937, in Clare (Clare County), Michigan. They came to Beaverton (Gladwin County) 18 years ago residing here since.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, at 1:30 P.M., at the residence and at the Beaverton Methodist Church with the Reverend Verne Sumners officiating and interment will be in the Chippewa Township Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant (Isabella County), Michigan. Pallbearers were Emery Sharp, Earl Burr, Earl Colbeck, William McKenna, Dave Ross and Bill Stock.
He is survived by his wife, Lula; one son, James, of Findlay, Ohio; three stepsons, Lloyd Landon, of Chelsea, Michigan, Cecil and Willis, both of Mt. Pleasant (Isabella County), Michigan; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Ila Eisenberger, of Shepherd (Isabella County), Michigan; one sister, Maude, of Sharon, Pennsylvania; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
