Bradley Beach- Mrs. Elizabeth B. Applegate, 83, of 411 Main Street, died yesterday at home. She was born in Belmar and lived at the shore all her life.
She was the widow of Holmes Applegate. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Bradley Beach.
Surviving are a son, Hessell T., here, a daughter, Mrs. Hanna F. Bresnahan, Freehold, two sisters, Mrs. Ross Clayton, Point Pleasant Beach and Mrs. Joseph Giles, Miami, Fla., six grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
The Robert C. Neary Funeral Home, Manasquan, is in charge of arrangements.

Although her obituary says that Elizabeth died at home in Bradley Beach, her death certificate tells a different story. She died at the State Hospital in Marlboro. Cause of death General Arteriosclerosis and acute ( _sorry, unreadable __) date of death is Oct 7, 1963. Death certificate is signed by Howard J. Preston, Marlboro, NJ on 10/14/63.
