A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal S.E., in Albuquerque. Cremation has taken place.
Mr. Blanks was born March 7, 1904, in Columbia, La. He moved to Walnut Creek, Calif., from Colorado Springs and then to New Mexico in February.
Mr. Blanks' wife, Muriel, survives. He also is survived by his daughter, Beverley Lincoln of Albuquerque; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
