Lucy Ann Beckham (1930-2011)
SHERMAN - Graveside services for Lucy Ann Beckham, 81, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011 at West Hill Cemetery. Brother Danny Wood and Brother James Crawford will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Beckham was born January 12, 1930 in Boswell, Okla. to James Albert Hale and Lilley Talley. She married Guy Dale Beckham on March 9, 1946 in Weatherford, Texas. They were married for 52 years before his death on August 21, 1998.
She supported her husband's ministry for 40 years as they served in Texas and southern Oklahoma. She was also a loving mother and grandmother.
Three children were born to this union: Rick Beckham of Denison, Bill Beckham and Shirley Hayes, both of whom are deceased. There are nine grandchildren: Ryan Beckham and wife Lacey, Ashley Holloway and husband, John, Blake Beckham and wife Ashley Melissa, Suzanne, Jennifer, Tim Austin, Tammy Crabtree and Carrie Carruth; two great-grandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren.
