Maurice D. Heath

Mrs. Maurice D. Heath, age 87 of Whitney, died Friday morning in the Whitney hospital. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 14 at the Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Whitney, with ministers, Charles Horn and Joe Blakeney officiating, burial in the Heath Cemetery.
Mrs. Heath was born December 30, 1900 in the Huron Community near Whitney, the daughter of J.J. and Margaret Lawrence Dollar. She lived in the Whitney area all her life. She married George Douglas Heath November 28, 1920 and he died February 29, 1985. She was a member of the Whitney Church of Christ.
She is survived by one son, Douglas Leon Heath and his wife Ann of Whitney; one brother, Marcus Dollar of Cleburne; one sister, Faye Odom of Palestine; three grandchildren, Dale Heath of Brenham, Mike Heath of Odessa and Mrs. Karen Pearson of Odessa; three great grandchildren, Kara, Kimberly and Kristin.
