Edra Gevedon Laws, age 89, Hwy 705, West Liberty, Ky., passed away Tuesday in Kings Daughter's Medical Center in Ashland, Ky., after an extended illness.
She was born January 24, 1922, in Morgan Co, Ky., daughter of the late Estill C. and Anna Dora Gevedon.
Edra was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting. She was a member of the Tom's Branch Community Church, Ezel, Ky.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Maurine Streitenberger, Genoa Peyton, Audra Gevedon and a brother, Estill Gevedon Jr.
Surviving is her husband Byron (Bob) Laws, Hwy 705, West Liberty, two daughters, Elizabeth (Junkie) Elkins, Virginia Beach, VA., Genoa (James) Byrd of West Liberty, Ky., one son, Paul Wayne (Linda) Laws, West Liberty, Ky., one sister, Justine Gevedon, Grassy Creek, Ky., two brothers, James (Marie) Gevedon of Knoxville, TN., Harold (Pauline) Gevedon, Fairborn, Oh., four grandchildren, Kimberly, Jeffrey, Michael, Eric, six great-grandchildren, Cammie, Evan, Winter, Jeffrey,J aden, Charlie, four-step grandchildren, Kevin, Jonathon, Bridgett, Chavice, eight step-great grandchildren, Kyle, Kelsey, Autin, Garrett, Cole, Logan,Karley, Annabelle.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel, with Bro. Jeff Montgomery officiating. Burial in the Grassy Lick Cemetery, Grassy Creek, Ky.
Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, Ky.
Pallbearers will be: Steven R.Gevedon, Eric Byrd, Jukie Elkins, James P. Byrd, Darrell Barker, Steve Andresen.
