Marion D. Brackett, 78, wife of the late Wallace F. Brackett, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 29, 2007 at a Bangor hospital after a short illness. She was born June 15, 1928 in Stacyville, the daughter of Marvin and Georgie (McGrath) Allen. Marion was a graduate of Sherman High School, class of 1945. She worked for Newberry, Woolco, and Woolworth Department Stores in Millinocket for many years. Marion was a member and past president of V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #4154 in Millinocket for 39 years and was a member and past president of V.F.W. Post #2299 in Sherman. She was also a long rime member of American Legion Auxiliary Post #80 in Millinocket.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Pelletier and her husband Levi of Glenburn; two grandchildren, Kimberly Leino and fiancé Terry Kenniston of Hampden, and Todd Falone of Hudson; seven great grandchildren, Katelyn, Kayla, Alyson, Samantha, Caralyn, Shawn, and Jody; two sisters, Norma Tedford of Medway and Mildred Carter of Sherman; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband, Marion was predeceased by two brothers, Lester and Floyd Allen; three sisters, Hazel Langley, Leola Hayes, and Hepsy Adams.
Spring interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery (Lamson Funeral Home on-line)
