Albert Sidney Anderson, Sr., a resident and native of Springfield, died Tuesday, October 8, 1996, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was born August 20, 1911. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Arrangements entrusted to Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, with religious services in the chapel. Interment in Woodland Baptist Church Cemetery, Springfield.
Survived by wife, Nell Faust Anderson, Springfield; a daughter, Mary Nell Anderson Pollet, M.D., Baton Rouge; three sisters, Myrtle Kimball and Alice Menzer, both of Springfield, and Emma Lean Davis, Ponchatoula; a brother, Joe H. Anderson, Springfield; and four grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, Milton and Mae Richardson Anderson; a son, Albert Sid Anderson, Jr., D.D.S.; a brother, Edward Anderson; and a sister, Rosalee Burns.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Woodland Baptist Church Building Fund, La. 1037, Springfield, 70462.
