TEXAS CITY - Nettie Yarbrough, 85, of Texas City, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2002, at Gulf Health Care Center in Texas City. She was born July 30, 1916, in Glenmora, Louisiana. Mrs. Yarbrough had resided in Texas City for eleven years, formerly of Hunnington, Texas, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Texas City.

Survivors include her husband, Ruben Yarbrough, of Texas City; two daughters, Aileen Cox of Texas City and Patsy Sicke of Arlington, Texas; son Henry Livergood of Texas City; step-daughter Debbie Comeaux; and step-son Harold Yarbrough both of Sulphur, Louisiana; sister Yonnie Paine of Louisiana; brothers John, Henry and Eddie Barton all of Louisiana; grandchildren Rick Bourgeois, David Bourgeois, Ronnie Reese, Randy Reese, Renee Reese and Clay Livergood; great grandchildren Bridgette, Courtney, Joseph, and Jordan and six step-great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2002, at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2002, at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas, with her brother-in-law the Rev. George Yarbrough, officiating.

The family wants to express their thanks to the Gulf Health Care Center for the great care given to Nettie over the past 4 years and to Amed Community Hospice.
