La Verna Abraham Dies; Services On Saturday

SCHUYLER - (Special) - Miss La Verna Abraham, 20, Richland, died Wednesday evening at Memorial hospital (sic). She was in poor health the past year and was suddenly taken ill on Tuesday.

Funeral servies (sic) will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Presbyterian church (sic) with the Rev. John H. Patterson officiating. Burial will be in the Schuyler cemetery (sic).

The body lies in state at the Bideaux Mortuary and a short service will be held there at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, preceding the church rites.

Miss Abraham, daughter of John and Ida Legler Abraham, was born May 22, 1934 on her parents' farm north of Richland. She was graduated from Schuyler High in 1952, and was employed as a bookkeeper at the Farmers Union elevator in Richaland (sic).

Surviving are her parents; four sisters, Eleanor, Elaine and Joyce at home, and Mrs. Ward (Florence) Stevenson of Richland; two brothers, Donald and Allen at home; her maternal grandfather, Fred Legler of Schuyler; and her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna Abraham of Schuyler.

Pallbearers will be Stanley Hayworth, Marvin and Richard Skarda, Robert Abraham, Theilen Stevenson and Robert Babcock.
