Born in Union, S.C., she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mauldin.
Surviving are her loving parents, Ed and Lenora Scales Childress of Mauldin; two brothers, Terry Childress and his wife, Tina and Scott Childress and his wife, Lovonda, both of Greenville; and nine nieces and nephews whom she loved like her own.
The family will receive friends Monday, December 1, 2008, from 2 to 3 p. m. at the First Baptist Church of Mauldin. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Wade Leonard officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
