Ruth Irene Conway, 78, of Oreana died 12:52 p.m. Sunday (May 24, 1992) in St. Mary's Hospital.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Garver Cemetery. Memorials: Garver Brick United Methodist Church, Oreana.
Mrs. Conway was born in Macon County on March 18, 1914, the daughter of Lewis and Lillian Wright Kopp. She was a homemaker United Methodist Church, Audubon Society, Oreana Senior Citizens and Good Samaritan Inn. She married Harold Conway in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Aug. 17, 1934. He preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 1990.
Survivors include her sons, Marshall and his wife Nancy, and George and his wife Nancy Louise, all of Decatur; Walter and his wife Sharon of Oreana; daughters, Marcia and her husband Ronald Ritchie of Eau Claire, Wis.; Catherine Conway of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; brother, Earl Kopp of Bement; sisters, Blanche Banning of Findlay; Virginia Weltmer of Decatur; 24 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. Her parents, husband and two brothers preceded her in death.
