Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Kearney with the Revs. Ron Roemmich and Bill Ritter officiating. Burial, with military honors by the American Legion Post 321 and VFW Post 759, will be at Pleasanton Cemetery.
Dale was born in Pleasanton to Charles and Esther Rodehorst Ritter. After graduating from Pleasanton High School in 1943, he served in the Navy.
On March 14 1947, he married Arlys Rubart in Kearney. They farmed in the Pleasanton area until their retirement. In 1992, they moved to Kearney.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kearney, United Methodist Church of Pleasanton, VFW 759, and the American Legion Post 321.
Survivors include his wife; daughters Diana Stubbs and Lisa Phillips, both of Pleanton, Ronda Schulte, Baldwin City, Kansas, and Kristine Bower, Kearney; son Curt, Pleasnton; brothers Harold, Melbourne Beach, Florida, and Carrell, Pleasanton; sisters Elda Mae Lange, Estes Park, Colorado, and Sharon Sand, Klamath Falls, Oregon; 14 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Donna.
