An Old Resident of Plains Dead
About 7 o'clock Thursday evening Henry Carter, an old and well known resident of Plains, died at his home near Mill Creek, aged 68, after a long illness of Bright's disease. Some years ago he was proprietor of a hotel in the vicinity where he lived, and in this business accumulated considerable property. His wife died some two years ago, and he is survived by three sons and a daughter, all adult, and all residing in Plains and vicinity. The funeral will take place Sunday at 2 pm. Mr. Carter was a brother of the burgess of Jermyn.
