Brooklet - Patrick Burl Thompson, 82, died Saturday at the Bulloch Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Screven County, but had lived in Bulloch County for the past 50 years. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Leefield Baptist Church.

Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Thelma Edwards of Brooklet, Mrs. Kathleen Wilson of Jackson, Ala., Mrs. Doris Edwards of Atlanta, Mrs. Margaret Brannen and Mrs. Bernice Ward, both of Savannah, and Mrs. Juanita Judy of Orangeburg, S.C.; a son, T. B. Thompson of Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Bazemore of Brooklet and Mrs. Eva Hurst of Mariana, Fla.; two brothers, Emory and Barnie Thompson, both of Bogalusa, La.; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held today at 4 p.m. at the chapel of the Barnes Funeral Home, with burial in the Brooklet City Cemetery.
