This is Louis M. Metkovich, 2nd child of Matt and Kate Metkovich. Their next child, born 3 months after the death of this one, was also named Louis (but spelled Lewis). This family moved back to their home in Mikulići, Austria (today it is in Croatia) around 1907. Several children were born in the old country, then they all immigrated back to Los Angeles in the late 1920s and early 1930s. They lived in Inglewood.
His father was the oldest brother and it was his duty to take care of his parents in their old age in Austria (today Croatia.) After his parents both passed away, he returned to the States, settling in LA. All the other family members are buried in LA.
Meanwhile, his younger brother had no such duties and remained in California.
