Lula was born January 10, 1915 to Frank and Ann (Hollies) Gotham in Unionville, MI.
She married Edward H. Kemp on May 27, 1933. She and Ed made a home in Sebewaing and raised their seven children. After 53 years of Marriage, Edward preceded her in death on November 17, 1986.
She is survived by her children Violet and Phil Musselman, Donna Parsell, John and Norma Kemp, Rose and Harley Faber, Laura Lee and Fred Leskowich, Lon and Bonnie Kemp and Allen and Lori Kemp.
She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
Lula was preceded in death by and infant son, Charles, her son-in-law Dean Parsell and grandson Robert Kemp.
Lula was a member of Unionville Methodist Church in Unionville, MI. She loved her family, cooking, and quilting. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend to everyone.
Visitation will be at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home, Sebewaing on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 from 1-9pm.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing with Pastor William Wright officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10am until the service at 11am.
Burial will be private at Hickory Island Cemetery in Akron, MI.
