Mandy Taylor Renfro, age 94, of Kemp, Oklahoma, passed away at Southern Pointe Nursing Home, Colbert, Oklahoma on Thursday, March 17, 2011. Mrs. Renfro was born in Eagletown, Oklahoma, on December 30, 1916 to William Henry and Cora Williams Blankenship. She married Roy Renfro on December 24, 1963 in Durant, Oklahoma. She enjoyed being around people and worked in several different jobs, Diaper Jeans, Mattress Factory, Nursing Homes and the Restaurant Business. She was a life time resident of Bryan County and a faithful member of the Church of Christ, always attending the services of the Church.
She is survived by six children, sons; Bill Taylor & wife Barbara of Denison, Texas, Kenneth Taylor & wife Bonnie of Liberty, Oklahoma, Leon Taylor of Denison, Texas; daughters; LaWanda & husband Bill of Cartwright, Oklahoma, Marilyn & husband Jim of Denison, Texas, Ida Delashaw of Colbert, Oklahoma; two brothers; Bill Blankenship & wife Geraldine of Eagletown, Oklahoma, Wesley & wife Katheryn of Lockesburg, Arkansas; fourteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, a host of friends and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Renfro, on November, 10, 2010, her parents, six brothers and six sisters.
Family visitation will be held Sunday, March 20, 2011, 7 – 8 p.m. at American Funeral Service, Colbert, Oklahoma. Funeral Service will be on Monday, March 21, 2011, 1:30 p.m. at the Kemp Church of Christ, Kemp, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Kemp Cemetery. Jan Kelly will officiate. Pallbearers will be Todd Taylor, Chris Delashaw, Randy Hackworth, Brian Hackworth, Mark Duckworth & Jim Taylor.
