Manley Forest Winkley was the son of James Martin and Nadia Hunter Winkley, grandson of Thomas Benton and Sarah Martha Roberts Winkley. Siblings; Maurice, Lyman, David, Cora, Blanch, Duane.He was killed in the Battle of Tarawa on November 20, 1943.
