Ona Alice Evans, 78, of La Plata died at 8:50 this morning (Jan. 26, 1981) in a Kirksville hospital, where she had been a patient since January 2.
Born Sept.22,1902 in Greentop, she was the daughter of Calvin Cutler and Martha Ann Loop Shinn. On Sept. 20,1941 in Weston, she married to Joe Evans who survives. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Evans attended Kirksville Business College and had been an employee if the Shinn Hatchery for several years.
She was a member of the LaPlata United Methodist Church, where funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon (Jan. 28, 1981) at 1:30. The Rev. Harold Ferrell and Orville Shriver will conduct the services. Organist will be Mrs. John Rohrbough who will play "How Great Thou Art". Burial will be in the LaPlata Cemetery.
