Graveside services for Lorene Bales, 84, West Plains, will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the Bakersfield Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bales died 11:57 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at West Vue Nursing Center. She was born April 1, 1927 at Viola, Arkansas to Troy and Ora Strout Dillinger. On May 20, 1941, she was married at Salem, Arkansas to Harley Epherom Bales who preceded her in death on August 9, 1992. Mrs. Bales was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Lorene has left a great legacy to all who knew her sweet and gentle spirit and her deep faith and commitment to her Lord Jesus with whom she is with in her mansion over the hilltop.

She is survived by one son, Larry Bales, wife, Connie, West Plains; five grandchildren, Johnny Bales, Gabe Gobel, Jodi Felton, Jessica Steward and Diana Bales; four great-grandchildren, Harley, Jayden, Jacob, Lyric and one great-grandchild on the way; one brother, Lloyd Dillinger; two sisters, Nova Dillinger and Wanda Ferguson; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, one infant daughter, and one sister, Maxine Bales, precede her in death.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon Bible Society and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
