Ann Bradley wife of Leaming Bradley who died Oct 11, 1819 aged 86 (CT Deaths & Burials Index and the book Litchfield and Morris Inscriptions)
According to a descendant (Barbara Bradley Petura) "Leaming and Anna Parsons Bradley moved to Litchfield from Middletown about 1769. Their six children were: Lucretia, Aaron, Comfort (a doctor), Joseph, Lucy and Ann Bradley."
Anna, daughter of Aaron Parsons and Abigail Sanford, in 1754 married Smith Miller who died in March 1759. In November 1759, she married Leaming Bradley in Middletown.
Leaming and Anna's family lived in Bantam on the west side of the Town of Litchfield. In the early 1800s, the area was called Bradleyville for the Bradley families there.
Son Aaron enlisted twice during the Revolutionary War, in 1777-1778. He first served for seven months as a blacksmith in the Continental Army's Artificers Shop in Litchfield, under Captain John Collins and Major Moses Seymour. He then served another seven months under Sergeant Samuel Woodruff, helping to guard Continental Army stores, artillery equipment and British prisoners in Litchfield.
Different sources give Anna's date of birth or baptism as either 28 Oct 1733 or 13 Nov 1733, the latter in Connecticut Town Birth Records, pre-1870 (Barbour Collection).
