Mr. Charles Wesley Ferris, Dickerson, died Monday, Sept 23, at Sibley Hospital, Washington, D.C. He was the husband of Patricia A. Ferris.
Born Feb. 1, 1930, in Syracuse, N.Y., he was a son of the late Richard B. and Mildred Warner Ferris.
Mr. Ferris was a partner and vice president of Commercial Modular Systems Hagerstown.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of IOOF, Poolesville.
Surviving besides his wife are four daughters, Susan E. Ferris of Laytonsvflle, Sandra J. Ziffer of Waldorf, Stephanie A. Ferris of Colorado and Samantha L. Ferris of Poolesville; a son-in-law, Frank T. Ziffer; three sisters, Mary E. Ferris, Lois Ferris and Joan Filsinger; three grandchildren, Shannon M. Collier, Aubrey Honemond and Benjamin Honemond; his father-in-law, Ottis F. Hallman; four brothers-in-law, Richard Ferris, Richard Hallman, Earl Anderson and George Filsinger; two sisters-in-law, Betty Hallman and Nancy Anderson; and seven nephews and three nieces.
Friends may call from 24 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville, where a prayer service will be held at p.m. Interment will follow at a later date.
The family strongly suggests memorial contributions be made to the Charles "Wes" Ferris Trade Scholarship, Financial Secretary, Poolesville High School, 17501 Willard Road, Poolesville, Md. 20837-2008.
