Melvin C. Brummel, 84, of Leighton, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at the Pella Regional Health Center in Pella. He was a past member of the Leighton City Council, Leighton Lions Club and the Leithton Commercial Club. Melvin enjoyed sports; he played softball for years.
