Don graduated from Withrow High School, class of 1948. He obtained a liberal arts degree from the University of Cincinnati, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. In 1954 he graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi.
Mr. Bolsinger, a third generation lawyer, worked briefly at his father's practice after graduation before serving two years in the U.S. Army stationed in Schweinfurt, Germany.
When he returned, he devoted his work to family law. He worked solely on domestic cases in Hamilton, Butler and Warren counties, before retiring in 2002.
Don met his wife of 53 years on a blind date. She was Suzanne Ebersole. They married on Aug. 21, 1954 at Madeira Community Center. They traveled the seven continents. They had one daughter and two sons.
Don was a 50-year member of the Cincinnati Lawyer's Association and past president of both the Cincinnati Lawyers' Club and Ohio State Family Law Committee. He was a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and Matrimonial Trial Lawyers' Association. He was chairman of the Domestic Relations for the Cincinnati Bar Association.
He was elected to Madeira City Council for two terms in the late 60's. He was past president of the Madeira Swim and Tennis Club and the Kiwanis Club of Madeira and Indian Hill.
He served as an adviser to Parents Without Partners, presented seminars throughout Ohio on the subject of family law and lectured on domestic relations at the University of Cincinnati's evening college.
He and his wife were active in the Madeira Presbyterian Church, where he served on the board of trustees and volunteered for more than 40 years.
He died of complications due to progressive supranulear palsy at Maderia Health Care, Madeira.
