CHIEF PUCKETT NOW AT WRIGHT
Now at the army air forces regional and convalescent hospital, Fort George Wright, is chief W/O Lawrence C. Puckett, who served as communications officer with the 14th air force in the China-Burma-India theater for 28 months. Sent over in advance of the B-29s, he was responsible for the installation of radio, teletype and telephone facilities at the base from which the Superfortresses were to operate. Puckett, husband of the former Thelma Sturgeon, W1904 Montgomery, wears the American defense ribbon, the Asiatic-Pacific ribbon with two campaign stars, and the good conduct ribbon.
